1940s Aristocrat

Another lovely piece of history, this non adjustable Gillette can often be gotten at a cheaper price than the 1934 version ( which again depends on the auction mania. Without a case you can probably get it much cheaper )

Comes in 3 different casing variants ( I did not post the other box of mine )

Like the predecessor, it is built like a tank to last, and the weight distribution is as well balanced from the head to the thicker barber pole style handle. Heavier than the Gillette Tech / Super Speed, this razor is a breeze to finger gripe and control ( Again I think the Fatboy which i adore has abit of asymmetrical balance )

I would grade it as medium aggressiveness like the earlier 1934 version, and has not drawn much flake from my skin from multiple passes during shaving.

Blade replacement is as easy as the other TTO designs.

An old school classic

Hey there, came across ur site by chance. Any ideas where to get those quality razors? My China-made ones last only a few mths.

Been craving for a Merkur HD. What’s your take on it? Do you know if it is sold in here in S’pore? Else gotta get it online.

    Thanks!

Hi. I dropped ya an email eariler. My razors are acquired online, many of them from ebay. There are some DE razors locally made in Japan, and Gillette themselves ( the 7 oclock DE razor ) but i have no experience with them.

Mekur HD has had great reviews, I think u will like it!

Hi, nice site here, I’m really interested in wet shaving but would just like to ask if it’s possible to ship these razors into Singapore. Cause I tried to use borderlinx service to ship in but they say DHL prohibit. Did you ship directly? Cause I’m also interested in buying the Merkur HD, oh and did you buy the blades from those sites too? Thanks for reading :)
