Godrej SC - menthol mist and lime fresh

The unassuming blue tube of Godrej Menthol Mist Shaving cream is probably the MOST mentholated shaving cream that is available locally. Manufactured in India, for around SGD 2.50+/- a tube, you get great lathering ( especially if you got a nice shaving brush ) from a blueish paste that smells a little mentholated off the tube, a hint of whats to come. It does  not carry any distinguishing sweet scents like many of my other shaving cream, but it does remind me of the old indian barber shops. If the scent is not agreeable, it does not linger for long, and is easily masked by the post shave balm / splash.  ( My SHMBO issin’t too fond of it so I lather it in the other shower room ) One of my favourite tie ups would be using my Alt Innsbruck to follow up as an aftershave to continue the relay on glaciating the chin. ( I created a little winter in tropical Singapore – Shioke! )

Key Ingredients : PEG-30, Lanolin, Glycerin

And from the back stating : Best Use Before 25 Months From Pkd.

So guys, if you are only looking for a great no frills arctic freezing experience to break the monotony of your shave routine ( I know how boring it can be to use canistered foamed goo with its promised goodness ) , this is one that swells at its little price tag, and besides, the nice bit of lanolin gives the blades a nice glide.  In the meanwhile, get down to your neighbourhood Indian provision store and get a tube of the menthol mist! You do not have to lather proper, you can just rub on chin and a little finger lathering and you are good to go even from cartridge shaving.  And in case you end up cursing and swearing at my suggestion, I think it double up as an excellent muscle and joint mentholated rub enough to rival the Bengay creams ! :P ( ok i am joking on that – the part about applying it topically other than to use as a shaving cream )

*( The Lime Fresh version is a whitish creamier paste that lathers just as well, with a very lightly faintly subtly ( you get the idea ) lime-mony fragrance, not overpowering at all – how i wish they made it a few orders stronger in scent ) . But it lags far from having the menthol kick compared to its Blue cousin. I would suggest getting the blue one if you only want to try one )

Will I get another tube ? Fresh Lime nope; Menthol Mist YEAH!
